A full throttle line-up of marquee Australian artists has been announced for the third Full Noise Music Festival, set to rock Townsville and the north on Saturday October 8.
Announced today by festival founders Karl and Mark Vass, the line-up stars Australian rock royalty, the hottest hip-hop names, uber indie-pop and cool house.
"Names in Australian music don't get much bigger or louder than the likes of Eskimo Joe, Grinspoon, tyDi, The Herd, Faker, The Vines, Illy and the list goes one," said Mark Vass. "Many of the line-up this year haven't been to the north ever, or for some time, and we are proud to be able to deliver this rocking festival again this year!"
Headlining on the Main Stage is the chart-topping Eskimo Joe, who has come a long way since their humble beginnings as breakthrough indie rock kids in Fremantle; along with the ARIA-winning rockers Grinspoon; while in the Dance Tent hot lyrical expressionists The Herd and dance music go-to talent tyDi are in the spotlight.
The Main Stage will roll out ARIA-award winning indie rock chiefs The Vines, hot on the heels of their new album release Future Primitive; progressive rock juggernaut Dead Letter Circus; jet-setters Gypsy and the Cat, who recently supported Kylie Minogue on her national tour; the ARIA-nominated Faker, as well as Ball Park Music and King Cannons.
In the Dance Tent, headlined by tyDi and The Herd, hot electronic goodness Bag Raiders and hip-hop legends Illy will get Full Noisers going. Tim & Jean, Dialectrix, Cassian, Loot & Plunder, BeXta, Yeah Right DJs and DNA promise a more than a healthy dose of house and dance beats, directional, mainstream and newbeats.
As in the previous two Full Noise festivals, local talent have been given stage time, check out the Full Noise website for these details.
"To support this phenomenal line-up, Full Noise will combine state of the art, sound, lighting and staging technologies to deliver a benchmark event ... get ready to get loud in a big way!" said Vass. "We aimed for a festival trifecta: The best DJs and bands, the best production, and the best venue. I may be bias, but I think we have done it."
"Importantly, ticket prices have remained the same at just $85 plus booking fee - we have taken out all stops to ensure the tickets are priced well, it's a big priority for us to make this music event accessible to as many people as possible."
VIP tickets are back again at $120 + booking fee, gaining festival goers exclusive themed area, own DJ and a whole lot more…

THE FRONTIER TOURING COMPANY PRESENTS
STONE TEMPLE PILOTS
with Special Guests Grinspoon
TOURING AUSTRALIA & NEW ZEALAND IN 2011
US rockers Stone Temple Pilots often top many a wish list of bands punters would most like to see and it gives The Frontier Touring Company great pleasure to confirm the band’s first ever tour of Australia and New Zealand in March next year.
Stone Temple Pilots released their eponymously named sixth studio album in May of this year after nearly a decade-long recording hiatus which included some time apart. The San Diego quartet reunited in 2008 and fans have been eagerly awaiting new material and a tour ever since, arguably none more so than the Australian and New Zealand public who have not previously had an opportunity to see the band live in concert - until now.
Fronted by Scott Weiland with Eric Kretz on drums and brothers Robert and Dean DeLeo on bass and lead guitar respectively, Stone Temple Pilots have undoubtedly had a colourful career and the Grammy Award winners are one of the most revered rock groups around today.
Early hits such as ‘Plush’, ‘Sex Type Thing’, ‘Vasoline’ and ‘Interstate Love Song’ established them as a force to be reckoned with. Their distinctive sound, comprised of glamourous riffs and howling arrangements set to an enviable swagger, has marked Stone Temple Pilots a staple in any rock fan’s collection.
Stone Temple Pilots continues to meld genres and influences, featuring gritty tinges of brooding grunge and 1960s and 1970s rock. The long awaited album has been welcomed by eager listeners and applauded by fans and critics:
“It's difficult to find fault with what the band has served up here, a solid rock n' roll record that not only indulges in nostalgia of the ensemble's halcyon days, but explores enough new avenues to suggest there is indeed more mileage in this revitalized outfit.” – Slant Magazine
“Scott Weiland sounds downright effervescent…” – Entertainment Weekly
“Displaying impressive vocal polish from outspoken frontman Scott Weiland; blazing guitar solos over tight, crunch-laden instrumentation; and grungy takes on Lennon/McCartney melodicism, STP asserts its place among seminal hard-rock chameleons.” – Billboard
Joining Stone Temple Pilots on the Australian leg of their tour (except Newcastle) is one of the country’s leading rock acts Grinspoon. Grinspoon have had a gleaming fifteen year career since being crowned winners of triple j’s inaugural ‘Unearthed’ competition in 1995 and their sixth studio album titled Six To Midnight is their proudest work to date. Six To Midnight debuted in the ARIA Albums Chart Top 10 upon its release late last year. Prior to the album’s production, Grinspoon embarked on a global musical adventure that eventually led them home to make their best album yet, cementing their position at the helm of the local rock scene.
Catch Stone Temple Pilots reunited and live in concert, tickets for this tour will be flying off the shelves so act fast to avoid disappointment.

By popular demand, Aussie rock outfit Grinspoon, are furthermore expanding their Six To Midnight tour to reach fans up in North Queensland!
Grinspoon began their travels in Tasmania and will end up on the sunny foreshores of the Gold Coast before they embark on the new dates in North Queensland. They are currently showcasing their explosive live act to audiences in ACT, regional New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia along the way.
Six To Midnight, Grinspoon's sixth studio album, has reminded die hard fans why Grinspoon are among the most successful Australian acts in the past decade as well as demanded a new breed of fans to take notice as was reflected in their debut ranking of #4 in the ARIA charts. Recorded in the band's spiritual homeland of Byron Bay with legendary US producer Rick Will (Johnny Cash, No Doubt, Nine In Nails), “Six To Midnight” captures the vigor and excitement of a debut album with the maturity and cohesion of album number six. The first two singles “Comeback” and “Summer” received immediate recognition and reaction by fans and media alike with the songs gaining high rotation on most major TV and Radio stations with their follow up “Premonitions” following suit in linear fashion.
Upon the completion of recording, Grinspoon's long awaited return to the live circuit saw them play what was hailed by many as their finest gig to date in front of an overflowing, out of control “Splendour in the Grass” mainstage, perhaps a result of their love affair with Bryon Bay.
A sold out launch tour on the east coast in September soon followed, with Six To Midnight released at the same time, and then a huge national tour in early 2010 saw the band take in some of the biggest venues in capital cities across the country. Their loyal army of fans received their first taste of the record in a live setting, and judging by the reaction so far, it's one of their best yet.

MORE NEW DATES FOR SYDNEY & THE GOLD COAST ON THE SIX TO MIDNIGHT TOUR
Grinspoon have made a second announcement of dates adding four more Sydney shows with Amy Meredith and The Snowdroppers and one up in Coolangatta.
With the tour starting on the 29th of July in Tasmania the show will see the lads weave their way through the ACT, regional New South Wales and Victoria before hitting the last stretch of the tour in South Australia, and one last show on The Gold Coast in QLD. The hugely successful first leg of the tour in March, saw the band playing at “Sold-Out” venues across the country to very energetic crowds. Grinspoon are looking forward to the opportunity to engage with their regional fans with their amazing show and unique support line-up.
Grinspoon's sixth studio album Six To Midnight has received a tremendous response so far, debuting at #4 in the ARIA charts and winning mountains of praise from fans and reviewers alike. The first two singles Comeback and Summer, and the latest single Premonitions have received huge reactions, gaining high rotation on most major TV & radio stations.
Legendary US producer Rick Will (Johnny Cash, No Doubt, Nine In Nails) was behind the albums' production & mixing duties, and has delivered one of Grinspoon's finest records to date. The band returned to their spiritual home town of Byron Bay to record the album, which helped them capture their affinity for a good live hard rock record, something the band really wanted to achieve.
Grinspoon's return to the live last year saw them play to a wild and overflowing main stage at the Splendour In The Grass festival, which went down as one of the band's most memorable gigs to date.
In celebration of all these great things, Grinspoon have decided to do what they do best and hit the road once again, this time taking in regional venues across New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania & South Australia. Come and see why Grinspoon have been proclaimed one of Australia's premier live acts, time and time again.

CHANNEL [V], DRUM MEDIA, FASTER LOUDER & LPS PRESENT
COME TOGETHER FESTIVAL 2010
FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT
It’s Winter, the Queen gives you a day off, your summer shenanigans are a little hazy, or hazier, fake tan looks stupider than it normally does, and Bondi beach is quieter than a sign language convention, must be time to rock on with your Doc’s on at the annual two day punk, rock and indie extravaganza, Come Together 2010.
Since 2005, Come Together has gotten down and dirty to dig up some of Australia’s best-kept secrets, showcasing them together for the “smarter than the average bear” punters and providing the platform spring boarding them into the big city lights.
The first Come Together saw folks you might now know like the Presets, Sarah Blasko and Josh Pyke and we have continued to keep rolling out killer acts since, including The Living End, Bliss ’n’ Eso, Midnight Juggernauts and Datarock, right up to instalment number 7 in 2010.
Another year, another heaving line-up with Come Together 2010 set to be bigger, badder and better than before. WA four-piece Gyroscope take the trip over the Nullabor returning to Come Together on the Saturday, fresh off Triple J’s One Night Stand, and with their new album ‘Cohesion’ in tow. Joining them on Saturday, Bris Vegas rockers The Butterfly Effect, punk (and boat) rocking faves Frenzal Rhomb, Philadelphia’s The Loved Ones (US) make their first trip down under together with punk rock royalty Strung Out (US). Progressive hardcore upstarts House Vs Hurricane, and MM9 will be sure to get the joint jumping.
With their sixth album ‘Six to Midnight’ doing the rounds, Sunday sees Lismore’s finest, Grinspoon reminding the Come Together faithful why they are one of Australia’s much loved acts. Sunday also sees the indie kings and queens strut their stuff led by British India with material from their latest album ‘Avalanche’, Triple J darling Bertie Blackman, Oz hip-hop’s current heroes Horrowshow and rising rockers Calling All Cars all taking centre stage. With more acts up our sleeve and some familiar faces filling out the rest of the announced line-up, you best start getting it together for Come Together.
Taking place over the June long weekend at Luna Park, Sydney, Come Together 2010 delivers the strongest line-up to date. With the unlimited rides included in the ticket, there is so much value for money we should be advertising on the Kerri Ann show right after the ab-tastic fat blastertron.
So friends, some of the latest and greatest performing alongside some of the tried and tested delivering two days of non-stop rock in all its various shapes, sounds and sizes, unlimited free rides, it’s an all ages affair, and Queen Lizzie gives you an extra day to recover. Sounds like your plan for the June long weekend is all coming together (sorry).
SATURDAY, JUNE 12th
Gyroscope, The Butterfly Effect, Frenzal Rhomb, Strung Out (US), House V Hurricane, MM9, The Loved Ones (US), Deeznuts, Heroes for Hire, Circle Pit, Jerrico plus more to be announced
SUNDAY, JUNE 13th
Grinspoon, British India, Bertie Blackman, Dead Letter Circus, Horrorshow, The Jezabels, Calling All Cars, Boy & Bear, Ernest Ellis, The Snowdroppers, Last Dinosaurs plus more to be announced
YOU AM I, OPERATOR PLEASE, BUTTERFINGERS AND LAKOTA JOIN THE RIPE LINE UP
Ripe Noosa 2010, is already bursting at the seams with the hottest bands. With 3 stages and every taste catered for there is only one dilemma music lovers on the Sunshine Coast should have on Saturday May 29… which stage should they be standing in front at any particular time? Just to throw a spanner in the works, RIPE HQ are adding 4 more bands to factor into that decision.
Joining the already stellar line up are the legendary You am I, Operator Please in one of their first Australian dates this year, four aria award nominated boys from Fortitude Valley, Butterfingers and local Sunshine Coast outfit Lakota, who won our live band comp last year and opened the festival in 2009.
You am I are, without question, one of this countries best live acts. With charismatic front man Tim Rogers, you know from the second they take the stage it’s going to be a knockout performance. You am I were the first aussie band to have 3 successive albums debut at #1 on the ARIA album charts. With no less than 14 songs having made it on to triple j’s hottest 100 list over the years, including ‘Berlin Chair’ which not only made the list the year it was released but made the Hottest 100 of all time list in 2009.
Operator Please burst onto the scene in 2007, winning an ARIA Award before most of it’s members were old enough to go to the pub to celebrate. ‘Just a song about ping pong’ and ‘get what you want’ were both on constant rotation on our airwaves. Now 3 years on with the band all grown up they are getting ready to release their long awaited sophomore album ‘Gloves’. Now seasoned performers having played every festival from the Big Day Out to Glastonbury they are bound to knock it out of the park at Ripe.
Butterfingers have always been at the top of our list with a string of hits (‘I love work’ ‘Figjam’ and ‘get up outta the dirt’) and a spot in top 10 on Triple J’s Hottest 100. So when the boys devoted fans started a facebook page just to get them on the bill and hundreds of people joined the chorus, we found the request hard to ignore.
Here at Ripe HQ we are committed to supporting local music. We are once again on the hunt for local talent to jump up on stage at Ripe Noosa and join our local MASC stage line up! Send through your applications (myspace's, facebook pages, online recordings, youtube video's or anything else that show's off your skill) to info@ripenoosa.com. The deadline for applications is 12 April. After the applications close we will announce the 5 finalists and then we will open it up for facebook fans to vote for the winner. So if you’re in a band, get your application in and if you know someone in a band, get on facebook and get your fingers ready to start voting!
RIPE NOOSA 2010 line up will be our biggest to date including The Cat Empire, Grinspoon, Birds of Tokyo, British India, You am I, Butterfingers, Urthboy, Funkoars, Infusion, Operator Please, Cassette Kids, Washington, Bridezilla, Kid Kenobi, MC Shureshock, Goodwill, Kid Mac, and Lakota ....with the Facebook band comp winner still to be announced!
RIPE NOOSA is once again making itself at home in the Hinterland. A full to the brim, one day music festival delivering the hottest live acts Australia has to offer and loads of festival content, to your doorstep. That's what RIPE NOOSA is all about.
Keep your eyes and ears peeled for more updates - in the meantime, head to www.ripenoosa.com for further details. Tickets are on sale now. Why not spend your weekend getting ….well….ripened!

GTM 2010: Bunbury Event Mooves to a Greener Pasture at Hay Park
And Bendigo Event Sells Out!
BENDIGO VIC | TOWNSVILLE QLD | MAITLAND NSW | CANBERRA ACT | BUNBURY WA
MAY 2010
It has been a HUGE four weeks for GTM 2010. First a massive line up announcement, then the Maitland show sold out in under a week, NOW we can announce that in only two weeks the Bendigo show has officially sold out AND with the support of Bunbury City Council and ticket buyers in WA, GTM Bunbury will moove to a new location; Hay Park, Bunbury.
Bunbury City Council and His Worship the Mayor David Smith worked together with Sunset Events to ensure the event was moved to a more suitable location after the community of Bunbury indicated a high level of support for the event through strong ticket sales.
“It has been changed to accommodate what has now become a bigger event where the extra space will allow for a more orderly presentation of these outstanding bands. I’m certain that with the high standard of security and management, and its scheduled finish time of 11pm it will be an event well received by the community,” announced His Worship the Mayor David Smith.
Dave Chitty from Sunset Events said, “We'd like to thank the music loving community of Western Australia for their support of Groovin’ the Moo, which has culminated in the event moving from Pat Usher Foreshore to Hay Park to better accommodate the demand the public has shown.”
On a national level, the support and response from all communities for the five GTM shows has been unprecedented.
"The response to this year's GTM has been incredible. Maitland sold out in 4 days and Bendigo in 2 weeks. Townsville, Canberra and Bunbury are all selling strongly, so if you are planning to come along to any of these shows, please don't leave it too late to buy your tickets or you may miss out,“ said Stephen Halpin (GTM Promoter, Cattleyard Promotions).
Stay tuned for further announcements in regards to local artist announcements and community initiatives.

Grinspoon's sixth studio album Six To Midnight has received a tremendous response so far, debuting at #4 in the ARIA charts and winning mountains of praise from fans and reviewers alike. The first single Comeback, the latest single Summer, have both received huge reactions, gaining high rotation on most major TV & radio stations, with the latter destined to be one of this summer's biggest hits.

Their loyal army of fans received their first taste of the record in a live setting, and judging by the reaction, it's one of their best yet.
Grinspoon will tackle the national Big Day Out tour in early 2010 alongside artists like Muse, Lily Allen & Mars Volta, and also played a special one off show with Cold Chisel at the V8 supercars after party in Sydney last weekend.
In celebration of all these great things, Grinspoon have decided to do what they do best and hit the road for a national headline tour in March 2010, their first major national tour since 2008.
