hey gang!
how is it? just saw us get defeated in the soccer. oh well. another 4 years. pat and i meet with video directors today to try and work out an idea for chemical heart. we received the mix back from new york on friday. it was mixed by a guy named Dave Sardy. he has worked with marilyn manson, dandy warhols and helmet to name a few. it is only a week till we start to track the new songs, can't wait. to answer a few questions from the guestbook. unfortunately if we are on the big day out we are not allowed to do sideshows. international bands are allowed too but aussie bands aren't. i think it has something to do with exclusive rights or something. i wanted to do shows in every city but it won't be happening until march. sorry. also, unfortunately i do not write songs about anything so if your looking for meaning wheely, your on the wrong website. maybe pick up a copy of area 7s new album, plenty of songs about stuff on that...
check out next months blunt magazine for more info on grinspoon. question of the week... kristian has been sporting socks and sandals recently. is this a fashion emergancy?

p.s on a more serious note all of the band would like to send their condolensces to the friends and family of scott from 28 days. he will be missed by all that knew him and all that heard his music.

hey gang!
what a week... we rehearsed all last week and went and saw unwritten law on thursday at the annandale. big nights... grinspoon got up on saturday at the volcom skate rock thing at the horden and played 4 songs. two old ones, champion and party bomb and two new ones lost control and waiting 4 take off. it was fun to play again and make mistakes and especially play the new songs to people. i don't think many people gave a fuck but we had fun anyway. we go into record some b sides for the single on tuesday so that will be fun. oh, our first single is called Chemical Heart and will be released some time in the new year. the b sides are waiting 4 take off and gettin shit. so Yeah! to clear up the ul debate thing that has been happening on the guestbook. yes i guess up all nite sounds a bit like busy in the verses. i was there when scott wrote that song (on the australian warped tour in byron bay) and totally back it, think it is a super song! oh yeah i'm 24. question of the week... who would you rather see live the superjesus or bardot? tough one hey!!

hey gang,
what is going on? had wins on melbourne cup but by complete accident in a sweepstake thing! yeah! went and saw dern rutlidge play couple of saturdays ago at excelsior. excellent. saw a band called gelbison at metro who were good too. notice some questions about tdaatec keep popping up on the guestbook so i will do my best to answer them. nick (who i know from arnette) and i lived together in a share house in 1998 and we started recording shit on a 4-track. (nick is also the guy that co-wrote the song on the ul recording) Alot of the stuff was complete crap but some was good so we held on to it and put it on computer, got some people to add to it and its come out on an e.p. i thinks its mgm distribution that put it out. anyway enough about that shit, lets talk spoon. we go in on monday to start pre production on another bunch of songs. joe is going to bring down his digital camera so we will able to put up photos of this historic event up on the site. we is doing this and then shooting a clip for first single near end of november. oh yeah. gots an orchestra to do some shit on one of our songs... it was crazy. anyways. update will be coming soon... cheers.

hey gang. this is my first ever news section on the page! um, at the moment many arguments are going on about the title of the album, hopefully soon we will know... um, shit, i am not really prepared to give any news so i am just gonna crap on. sorry about the lyrics to easy coming so slowly i just have to do it in bits to make it right, u know? kris has got his arm out of his cast and he will be ready to record again by december, we hope... saw a band at the rose and crown last night called posthuman they were kind of a gothic tool thing with lots of interpretive dancing by people dressed in silver spacesuits. yeah! hope everyone had a great halloween. this news section will be updated every 2 weeks or something to that effect if i get excited there will be more. let us know what you think via guestbook. cheers,
