hey guys,
woke up the other day to find out we got number two on the hot 100 so thanks heaps for voting for us everyone!! we were also chuffed to get three other songs in as well, i don`t suppose it happens too often. anyway london has been great so far, except that it`s really damn expensive, hard to get decent food, and it`s bloody cold!! it`s actually s`posed to snow tonight!! the show have been cool- the bondi bar is pretty tiny but we packed em in and had a great time. the stage had built in podiums to stand on, which is secretly what i`ve always wanted, so that was a blast!! the ozzie day gig was the complete opposite, with a huge stage and about 1500 punters- it was pretty chaotic but good fun too!! we`ve been playing with a band called electric eel shock from tokyo, who rock harder than pretty much anyone i reckon. the drummer plays naked except for a sock on his dick, so we took the opportunity for some promotion and gave him one of our grinspoon socks to wear- what an honour!! anyway they`re a tops band so check them out if you can. apart from gigs i`ve been doing a bit of the tourist thing, checked out abbey road the other day- it was all graffiteed but still cool to see the place the beatles hung out. after that i went on a tour of lords cricket ground-the birthplace of cricket. this old english geezer took us round and showed us where the queen sits when she watches the cricket and all sorts of exciting stuff like that!! good fun!! ok folks, gotta go now. take care and be nice.

hey guys,
got over to the uk the other day, and been having a ball since we arrived. only problem is our working visas were`nt ready for us so we had to leave the country in order to come back in as workers. a bit of a stuff around and a bummer cause we had to cancel our glasgow show, fuck it. we completely apologize to everyone who was disappointed, but there was nothing we could do. we couldn`t get visas by going to scotland cause it`s still part of the uk. hopefully we`ll be back in the summer so any spoon fans in glasgow stay tuned for that. once again sorry, we hate cancelling gigs....

Where we were at: falls, kickstart

happy new year everyone and welcome to 2003!! we did our last shows in oz for a while last week and it was a great way to finish off what has been our best year so far!! the falls festival is always a highlight and this year was no different. the bush atmosphere is hard to top, and i recommend getting down there for a campimg experience if you haven`t yet. we got to catch up with our mates in the black eyed peas and also the fellas from jet and warped, and of course everyone`s favourite uncle wally from even-what a guy!! the next night was new years eve and we travelled to perth and then to kwinana for the kickstart fest, which also had the gurge, motorace and of course machine gun fellatio- we can`t seem to not do a festival without each other!! anyway it was a tops night and after giving each other a hug for new years we all headed back to the hotel bar for many a celebratory lemonade. next up for us is a couple of weeks in the uk which should be a blast- i`ll be sure to let you know how it`s going... till next time, be nice to each other
